The great thing about holidaying in Mid Wales is that you are central to everything.  Fancy a beach day? no problem, we're just over half an hour away from the University town of Aberystwyth.  Here you can take in the breath taking scenery of the coastal path or just enjoy lazy days on the beach.  If bike riding is your thing we have pump tracks and so many bike trails you would have to come back for another stay to get through them.  If something more relaxing is your cup of tea then you might want to take a walk around the beautiful gardens of Powis Castle, it's just a stones throw away in Welshpool also known as the gateway to Wales.  Sometimes the very best of things to see are right in front of you and in our opinion you cant get a much better day out than taking a trip by foot, bike or by car to the beautiful Clywedog dam, book a paddle boarding session with Maverick SUP or just have a cup tea and a slice of cake at the lovely café then saunter over the mountain road and drink in the most spectacular vista to the very special market town of Machynlleth.

We are situated within walking distance of lovely Llanidloes where you will find a variety of wonderful independent shops and a thriving market which takes place every Saturday.   If you are looking for a bite to eat then you will be spoilt for choice, from The Great Oak Café and Pwdin to the recently refurbished Unicorn and iconic Chartists 1770 restaurant at the Trewythen Hotel,  you will certainly be in for a treat.  If you want to finish your day off with a drink we are also very lucky to have unspoilt traditional family run pubs in the town most with beer gardens to sit out and enjoy the balmy summer* evenings.

*please note we do our best to please but we have no control over the wonderful Welsh weather. However there are so many fantastic activities to be found here even on the rainy days, we recommend Woodchuckers in Llanidloes for some axe throwing fun or pop over to Newtown to see if you can break out of one of the escape rooms at Beyond Breakout.
